Bootcamp Day 1: Start Your 7-Day AI Vocal Coach Bootcamp

The HumMatch TeamSeptember 6, 20265 min read

Seven days, one small measured task each day, each one building on the last. That is the whole idea behind this bootcamp: not a personality overhaul, not a promise about your range by Friday, just a week of actually looking at what your voice is doing instead of guessing.

Here is the shape of the week. Day 1 (today) is about getting measured and feeling what a real scored session is like. Day 2 is learning to read a stability score instead of just feeling pass or fail. Day 3 turns on camera coaching for the first time. Day 4 is about fixing the one thing the camera actually flagged. Day 5 is your first weekly plan, built from your own data. Day 6 checks how far your range honestly moved. Day 7 looks back at the whole week and asks what to do with it.

Today's task: get a Vocal ID, then feel a real session

If you already have a Vocal ID, skip ahead. If you do not, everything downstream in this series depends on it, so start there: hum three notes at /try. It takes about a minute and gives HumMatch's AI Vocal Coach the only thing it is willing to build a session from, your own measured range, comfortable center, and confidence score. No questionnaire, no rating yourself from memory.

Once you have a Vocal ID, take the one free Coach Listens drill: a single stability hold, about two minutes, scored against your own comfortable range. We introduced it back in July and it is still exactly as described, one free micro-session, tracked by your browser and, if you are signed in, on the server too.

Start with your Vocal ID.

Hum 3 notes, about a minute, no piano required.

Be honest about what "free" actually means here

This is the part worth saying plainly before you get excited about a free week of coaching: the free drill is a one-time taste, not a daily allowance. You get it once, ever, per account. It is not reset tomorrow, and it will not reset on Day 4 of this bootcamp either.

If you want to actually run this bootcamp the way it is written, a fresh scored session every day for a week, that requires the full Coach subscription: $19.95 a month or $119 a year. That is not a bait and switch buried in the fine print, it is the honest version of what a 7-day coaching cadence costs. The free drill exists so you know what a real session feels like before you decide whether the subscription is worth it to you. Some readers will do exactly that: try the free drill today, and follow the rest of this series only in spirit until they are ready to subscribe. That is a completely reasonable way to read this series too.

What to actually expect by Sunday

Set your expectations now so nothing later in the week feels like a letdown. You will not have a new octave by the end of this. The coach is deliberately conservative about range, and we will spend a whole day on exactly why. What you will have, if you actually do the daily task, is a week of real numbers about your own voice: a stability score you understand, a camera-coaching report you have actually read, one habit you targeted directly, a plan built from your own results instead of a generic program, and a real week-over-week comparison instead of a vague sense of "I think I got better."

That is a smaller promise than most vocal training content makes. It is also one we can actually back up, one measured session at a time.
